In accordance with Delta airlines cancellation policy, flight reservations may be canceled for medical reasons. This policy applies to passengers who are unable to travel due to sudden illness prior to flight. However, valid documentation (eg medical certificate) must be able to prove the reason for cancellation and the flight must be canceled prior to departure.
