For g.co/assistant/setup on your device, tap and hold the "Home" button or say "Ok Google". If Google Assistant is turned off, you will be prompted to turn it on.
Ask a question or say a command.
On devices running Android 8.0 or higher, you can also talk to Google Assistant when your device is locked by saying "Ok Google". Learn how to control what information is displayed on the lock screen.
